Directions for Immigrants in Trades and Professional Careers

A career service that assists foreign trained immigrants to restart their careers in Calgary.

Eligibility Requirements:

Must be an immigrant resident of Calgary looking to find work in their trade or profession, hold a degree, diploma or certificate with at least two years work experience from a country other than Canada and have a minimum level six Canadian Language Benchmark.Clients who meet all these criteria are eligible for workshops and individual sessions with a career advisor.Those who don't meet these criteria they may still use self-directed resources, including the DITPC website and work in the resource centre.

  • connection to other community services and resources
  • assisting internationally educated health professionals with information and support towards licensing and employment
  • study groups to prepare for licensing exams for nurses, pharmacists, radiological technologists and medical lab technologists
